Step 1: Send a text message to the shortcode 88802 from your Vizz Africa SIM (you will not be charged for this SMS), in the form:
LOAD (space) International Prepaid Mobile Number e.g. LOAD 006285234838101
You must follow LOAD by a space or the text will be ignored. Do not leave any spaces in the International Number which should just consist of digits (no brackets or dashes please). However, it is OK to use load or Load instead of LOAD.
If you know that the number has been ported to another operator's network in the same country, add the network name after the International Prepaid Mobile Number. The network name must match exactly one of the network names in that country:

Step 2: You will receive a text back from 88802 telling you the values you can transfer and the cost to you. A typical message is:
To transfer airtime to 006285234838101 reply AIR 1, AIR 2 or AIR 3
AIR 1 = IDR25, 000/£2.10
AIR 2 = IDR50, 000/£4.10
AIR 3 = IDR100, 000/£8.10
Step 3: Select an option for which you have a sufficient balance in your account, e.g. to transfer IDR50,000 (costing you £4.10), text back to 88802
AIR 2 (you must leave a space after AIR)
Step 4:You will receive a text from 88802 confirming that the transfer was successful (including a reference number to use in the case of a query), or telling you that the transfer has failed and giving the reason if we are able to do so.
You can check your Financial History on the web site where you will see successful transfers recorded, and of course you will see that your balance has been debited with the cost of the transfer.
Note that there can sometimes be a delay in receiving the text back from 88802 when the mobile network is busy, please be patient.
Airtime can only be transferred to international mobile numbers which are Prepaid not Postpaid. They must also be supported by one of our partners. You can check if the International Number to which you want to transfer is supported in the Airtime Transfer section in your online account
Pre-selected values ranging between £2 and £10.50 are available. For SMS transfers up to four options are available, but the web site usually offers a bigger range, dependent upon the international number entered.
When choosing how much airtime to transfer, the international currency values given already include all commissions & charges. They represent the actual credit amount available for use by the mobile to which you are transferring airtime.
The balance on your Vizz Africa Mobile should be higher than the airtime pound value you wish to transfer. To avoid the possibility of your account balance going below zero, if you have a small balance you won't be able to transfer airtime while your Vizz Africa SIM is actively being used for a call or data.
No refunds can be given after airtime is transferred so please check the mobile number carefully.
